With a 5K (5120 x 2880) screen resolution, this iMac provides one billion colors and 500 nits of brightness. The Retina 5K display also features the wider P3 color gamut, which provides a larger color space that shifts away from standard white LEDs to red-green phosphor LEDs that more equally represent red, green, and blue. And with more available colors, the images will appear more vivid and reveal greater detail, with more balance and precision. The display is further enhanced by True Tone technology for a more natural viewing experience

The Apple 27″ iMac with Retina 5K Display (MXWV2) offers up to a 10-Core Intel Core i9 processor to sail through heavy tasks like layering dozens of audio tracks or compiling and testing code. It can also be configured with up to 128GB of memory, which is double the capacity of the previous generation, to fly through the most complex pro workflows up to twice as fast.
Graphics
The graphics on iMac make everything a sight to behold. The 27″ model brings AMD Radeon Pro 5000 series graphics with up to 16GB of GDDR6 memory for graphics-intensive workflows like editing UHD video or developing lifelike game environments.
Apple T2 Security Chip
The Apple T2 Security Chip comes to the Apple 27″ iMac with Retina 5K Display (MXWV2), with a Secure Enclave coprocessor that provides the foundation for secure boot and encrypted storage capabilities. The T2 chip also enables powerful features like the 1080p FaceTime HD camera, face detection, enhanced speaker bass response, and “Hey Siri” – and makes transcoding HEVC video up to twice as fast as the previous generation.
Connectivity
Every iMac features two superfast Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports and four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, giving you plenty of high-performance options for connecting external drives, cameras, displays, and more. All iMac models come with a 1Gb Ethernet port, and now you can configure the 27″ iMac with 10Gb Ethernet for up to 10 times the throughput of the previous generation. There is also Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0, so you’re instantly connected to your favorite content and wireless devices.
